Classic Space Minifig in Light Gray!
As Lego just released the parts to build a purple Classic Space minifig, I thought I should rewind the clock a couple of years when they made it possible to build an unofficial light gray Classic Space minfig! If you missed the purple post check it out: Classic Space Minifig in Purple!
In 2017 in Lego's series 17 minifigs, they included a minfig called Rocket Boy. Hiding under his rocket consume was a light gray torso with the Classic Space logo on it. This meant it was time to build an unofficial light gray Classic Space minfig.
Here he is!
Parts List
If you want to build one you can find the parts list below. You have two options with the helmet depending on budget, which is classic (expensive) or modern (cheap). To get the light gray hands, you can just buy any cheap minifig that has the correct colour hands.
- Torso & arms - Rocket Boy (Series 17)
- Head - Minifigure, Head Standard Grin Pattern
- Legs - Hips and Legs Plain
- Airtanks - Minifigure Airtanks
- Hands - Random minifig with light gray hands
Classic or modern the choice is yours for the helmet:
- Helmet - (Classic) - Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Space / Town with Thin Chin Strap
- Helmet - (Modern) - Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Motorcycle
Note
Lego has two light gray colours. "Light Gray" which was the light gray up until 2005 which has a yellowish tint, and "Light Bluish Gray" which is the light gray from 2005 onwards. It obviously has a bluish tint. The classic helmet and airtanks are only available in the original light gray colour.
